Nevsky Prospekt or Nevsky Avenue is known to be the main avenue in St. Petersburg. It is mentioned in many books and memoirs, and walking along it from beginning to end might be the best way to get to know St. Petersburg and feel the spirit of the city. When we first visited this apartment after a call of our client, we found out that it represented an "oldschool" ex-communal flat. The apartment was divided into small rooms with a shared entrance and space for cooking. Inspired by Midcentury Modern we have designed an apartment that is not distinct in terms of a specific interior design style. We have based the layout on our endless love to axes and rooms with regular shapes (geometrically proportional squares and rectangles). Unique Midcentury modern furniture pieces have been purchased at European auctions of Denmark, Germany and Italy. We have reupholstered chairs and armchairs in order to give them the second life.
