PETROGRADKA APT

Apartment in a Soviet Stalinka house. Stalin style houses also known as Stalin's Empire Style houses were built in the USSR between late 1930s and mid 1950s. If to speak about interiors, Stalinist architecture's major principle was to be proportionate to a human being. It used elements of neoclassicim, incredibly thoughtful layouts, high ceilings, necessary insolation of the premises. Our goal was to reveal the beauty of this architecture that had been destroyed in this appartment by tension ceilings, dark walls and poor planning of 2000s. Our client, a new owner of the property, was in love with travelling, buddhism, unique artefacts from different countries. He needed a relaxing atmosphere of own nest after travels and busy business days. All the furniture with an exception of seating items was designed by us exculsively for this project.
